This week we were introduced to workshop 3: Material Modeling Workshop. The task was to create models out of box board from 3 different words. Our words, in fig 1 from left to right were dream, mechanical and confined.

Fig 2 is a close up of the model representing "dream". When I think of the word "dream" I think of being wrapped and enclosed in a wave like structure because in a dream we are in our on little imaginary world.  

Fig 3 is a close up of the model representing "mechanical" because when i think of this word i think of gears and cog wheels. However, it ended up looking like a honey comb/bee hive.

Fig 4 is a close up of the model representing "confined". From the top u can see a cylinder within a cylinder and the only ways to get to the center is from the bridges.

I had a difficult time this week adjusting to this kind of thinking and modeling as i find it difficult to open up and communicate emotions and feelings into modeling. However, it was still a fun and interesting exercise.
